Three-Month WOMENS Groups

Bridgeway Leader Resource

Here’s a list of items to help you lead your group.

Sessions 1–3: Women’s Study | Enneagram

It’s time to dig into some content and grow together. Remember, this is a safe environment and your input is valid and welcome, so join in!

WIN

Grow in your relationship with the other members of your group and with God.

CONNECT

Spend some time sharing about the past week and connect on a personal level through icebreaker questions.

LEARN

Relationships are hard. And while we can’t always control the circumstances surrounding our relationships, we can control the ways we engage and respond by getting to know ourselves better.

To gain a greater understanding and appreciation for who we are and how God made us, we are going to explore the Enneagram, an ancient tool used to help us explore our personalities and understand our motivations.

We hope that the self-knowledge you gain from studying the Enneagram allows you to connect with God and others in a deeper way.

Study Overview:
Session 1: Introduction to the Enneagram
Session 2: Discovering Your Type
Session 3: Connecting with God Through Your Type

PRAY

Throughout your time as a group, you’ll intentionally pray together. Ask God to give you an open mind and heart during the weeks ahead.

Session 4: Serve Together

This week, we are encouraging each group to serve our community through our Be Rich initiative. This is an intentional time for groups to show our community that we are about so much more than songs and sermons. We are about love, compassion and being the hands and feet of Jesus.

We have compiled a list of available projects for you to choose from. If you look at the list and don't see anything during a time that is convenient to you, please reach out to Next Steps Director Alison Brantley at 765-437-4025. Some of the listed projects can be done at alternative times.

*NOTE: Please take pictures of your group members completing the service project you choose.*

Session 5: Social & Fun

This week, we want you to lean into getting to know each other in a very informal way. We know during group time there isn't always a lot of remaining time to talk about kids sports, the show you're watching on Netflix, what new meal you made last week, etc. That's why we have built in a week for you to catch up on those things -- and life in general.

You can go out to dinner, have a carry-in at someone's home, go bowling, play pickleball, meet at the park to walk dogs or any other number of activities. Don't let this week pass by without meeting, though. This is NOT a week off!

*NOTE: Please take pictures of your group members hanging out during whatever you choose to do during this week.*

Session 6: Fall Break

We know that many group members will be on vacation during this week. Therefore, we won't have specific curriculum for this week. Use it as a week of rest and recharge. But, please connect with your group members via text to see how their week is going, if there's anything we can do to support them, if they have any prayer requests, etc. Supporting, encouraging and connecting with your group members in a regular rhythm is so important. Don't let this week pass you by.

Sessions 7-9: Kingdom Heroes

It’s time to dig into some content and grow together. Remember, this is a safe environment and your input is valid and welcome, so join in!

WIN

Everything we are about to study aims at the goal of your living out your faith as a kingdom hero. By learning how others lived as kingdom heroes, we can apply what they did in their lives and the wisdom we gain from studying them to our own choices.

CONNECT

Spend some time sharing about the past week and connect on a personal level through icebreaker questions.

LEARN

This is a Bible study, so each session is grounded in Scripture. And because different levels of faith may be found within your group, this time in the Bible is to not only grow but to also help others find their faith.

The goal for every Bible study is to apply what is learned. Each session will challenge members to dive deeper. If you find that members (or yourself) want more information or if, as the leader, you'd like to offer some "homework" to give members an additional opportunity to focus on the teaching, please let Next Steps Director Alison Brantley know. That can definitely be provided to you.

The next three sessions will go hand-in-hand with the teaching on Sunday mornings. If your group members haven't also been coming on Sunday mornings, please encourage them to make sure they are watching the services online.
